Write it down. Make it true. A notebook is a place to meet yourself. It asks for nothing but honesty. Use it to think slowly, to question what you believe and to build the life you intend, one page at a time.
Five sections
- Thought: lined pages for free writing. Say the true thing plainly.
- Reflect: twelve guided questions, answered slowly and without polish.
- Study: Cornell pages for learning, with cues, notes and a summary in your own words.
- Plan: dot grid pages for maps, systems and sketches.
- Grid: squared pages for drawing, measuring and working things out.
The practice
Date every page. Write the true thing, not the polished thing. Log each entry in the index. Return to a page after thirty days and note what changed. An ownership page at the front records when you began, when you finished and the one thing you want this notebook to hold.
